After over 60 years of use, this is the year the Lions Gate Bridge finally gets a facelift. This is one of 2 bridges connect the North Shore of Vancouver to the rest of the Lower Mainland.
Beginning Friday, May 12 at 10:00 p.m. (through to Sunday, May 14 at 10 a.m.), a series of evening and weekend detours will begin on the Lions Gate Bridge, to allow for the replacement of the bridge deck. Traffic will be detoured to the Ironworkers' Memorial Second Narrows Bridge during these necessary closures of the bridge.
