Announcements - July 14, 2002
The history books are now closed on the 14th running of the Knee Knacker. Just a few
quick comments before I start catching up on some much-needed sleep:
- Thanks to all - runners, volunteers, sponsors and supporters - for making this another
very special day for all of us!
- Number of runners was down this year due to the significantly higher number of lottery
winners that did not make it to the start line - close to 30% this year as opposed to a
normal range of 20-25%.
- 164 runners started the race, with 151 of those reaching the finish line in Deep Cove in
under the 10-hour cut-off time, for an excellent completion rate of 92.1%. Congratulations
to all competitors!
- Complete results, with split times, are available here.
- If there are any typos in the results or race certificates, please let me or Paul Quinn know and we'll try to correct it
as soon as possible.
- The photographs taken at the finish line by Fran
Bryant on race day will be uploaded to the London Drugs Web site later this weekend. Check back here for details
on how to access them.
- Finally, I know you are all just dying to enter the lottery for the 2003 race. Find out
just how to so here.
That's all for now, folks!
