2002 Knee Knacker - Really Last Minute Instructions

Just thought I'd remind everyone of a couple of important procedures for this coming weekend's event. But before I do, please let me tell you of a couple of new features for this year's race:

• Liana Campbell will be roving the course and capturing digital video of all the action. For a sample of her work at this year's Dirty Duo race and other events, visit the Ecospirit Web site at http://www.ecospirit.ca/gallery.racing.00.htm .
   
• North Shore Orthopaedic & Sports Clinic will be providing massage therapy and physiotherapy at the Finish Line. For full details, see our Web site at http://kneeknacker.com/RaceInfo/2002/NorthShoreOrthopaedic.htm .

Now for the nagging reminders:

1. There is absolutely NO day-of-race registration. If you have not picked up your race packet and registered by Friday night (July 12th), you will not be in the race. Please bring along picture identification, as we will be attaching a plastic medical wristband to your wrist once we have correctly identified you as the registered runner. If you have someone else picking up your race package, you MUST produce picture identification prior to the race Saturday morning.
    
2. Your entry is NOT transferable, i.e. you cannot sell or give it away to anyone else.
    
3. Due to construction at the BC Ferries terminal this year, there is NO parking available at the start. This includes friends/family who would like to watch you start - they may drop you off, but may not park in the start area since the parking lot is filled with huge rocks! We have ordered an extra bus this year, so park in Deep Cove by 4:30 a.m. and take advantage of the free shuttle to the start.
