1. North up Nancy Greene Way to the Grouse Grind entrance gate.
  2. Through gate (if the gate is closed, you'll have to scramble up the hill from the gravel parking lot) following the Baden Powell trail to the fork with the Grouse Grind trail to the left and the Baden Powell trail continuing straight.
  3. Continue straight on the Baden Powell trail up a steep hill for 10-15 minutes (don't go up the BCMC trail just after the Grouse Grind fork).
  4. Continue following the BP markers all the way to Mosquito Creek.  There are lots of trails forking off here and there so be careful to ensure that you're following the "BP" triangle markers.
  5. Immediately after crossing the nice bridge over Mosquito Creek (10-15 steps) go sharp left (you're still following the "BP" markers).  After a couple of minutes, you should see a large water tank on your right.  If the tank is on your left, you missed the turn.
  6. Continue following the "BP" trail markers (be careful to make another left a couple of minutes past the water tank) for another 10-20 minutes until you come to a small bench with a view (on some days).  Immediately after the bench, is the junction with St. George's trail.
  7. Go left onto St. George's immediately after the bench.  This trail will angle uphill behind the bench for 5 minutes or so before heading decidedly uphill.  Keep your eyes open for the orange markers as the trail can be a little difficult to follow in a couple of places as a result of fairly recent blow downs.
  8. Shortly before reaching Mountain Highway, you should pass by a lonely Mt. Fromme “this way” marker.  Follow it.
  9. Another 2 – 5 minutes gets you to the top of St. George’s Trail at a good gravel road – this is Mountain Highway.
  10. Retrace your path.
